156.525 VHF Channel 70. Used in the MMS for distress and safety calls using DSC.
156.650 VHF Channel 13. Ship-to-ship comms relating to safety of navigation.
156.8 VHF Channel 16. Used for distress and safety communications by radiotelephony.

1626.5-1645.5 In addition to its availability for routine non-safety purposes, used for distress and safety (earth-to-space) in the MMSS. Includes Inmarsat-C Tx.
1645.5-1646.5 Limited to distress and safety (earth-to-space) operations of EPIRBs.
