Types & Portrayal
Real AIS AtoN: AIS signal is transmitted from a physical aid to navigation.
Synthetic AIS AtoN: Signal is transmitted from a remote AIS base station, but broadcasts the AIS AtoN where a physical AtoN exists.
Virtual AIS AtoN: AIS AtoN message is transmitted from a remote AIS station for an AtoN that does not physically exist.
